About the Position
As Regional Sales Manager, you will identify, pursue, and capture business opportunities across the eastern half of the US, engaging with greenhouse builders and growers. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, family-oriented business culture that values honesty, innovation, and a down-to-earth approach. Were seeking someone with a proven track record in B2B sales and business development, capable of building strong, long-lasting relationships. To be successful in this role, you need to be a team player with a hands-on approach and an entrepreneurial spirit. This position is based at Ludvig Svenssons US HQ in Charlotte, NC, and reports directly to the General Manager. Up to 50% of travel is required, mainly in North America and some travel to Europe. Your main responsibilities include:
Drive business growth by expanding sales with both new and existing customers, focusing on new customers
Identify and penetrate new markets while increasing sales in established ones
Create traction in new developments, driving sales within service-based offerings
Uphold the Ludvig Svensson brand and legacy and embody the core values of endurance, dependability, and dynamism
Serve as a trusted advisor to existing customers through regular visits and strategic consultations
Deliver exceptional customer service by resolving product disputes and claims and ensuring customer satisfaction at the field level
Prepare and deliver accurate, timely proposals that include detailed information on pricing, delivery, and sales terms and conditions
Track and record all customer and prospect interactions via the companys CRM (Salesforce), producing accurate forecasts and monthly activity reports
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies, and represent the company at trade shows, translating insights into actionable strategies
What We Expect From You
Your Work Experience, Education & Skills
A bachelors degree in business administration, marketing, engineering, or a related field is preferred
Min. 3 years of demonstrated success in B2B sales and business development
Experience in the ag tech and/or horticulture industry is a big plus
Experience working with growers and/or greenhouse builders
Comprehensive knowledge of key business functions, including sales & marketing, customer service, and operations
Basic understanding of logistics, supply chain, and finance
Proven ability to engage and communicate effectively with key decision-makers to secure sales
Ability to establish and nurture long-lasting relationships
Skilled in data-driven decision-making that drives profitable growth and aligns with strategic objectives
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite and business software, including ERP and CRM (Salesforce)
Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, along with problem-solving abilities
Experience within an international matrix organization is a big plus
Collaborative team player with the ability to work with R&D, Sales, and Marketing teams
High integrity, accuracy, and technical aptitude
