Job Title: Avionic Technician

Number of Positions: 2

Pay Rate: CAD 30/hr. to $43/hr.

Employment Type: Open for Permanent and Contractual

Location: Calgary International Airport, Calgary, Alberta, Canada (On-Site)

Job Description:

Key Points:

• Experience with Twin Otter avionics, routing, termination, troubleshooting, FTPs is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Vehicle and Avionics engineering team to validate the installation and proper functioning of the avionics system.
• Diagnose design and integration problems, and avionics equipment failures on simulators and associated systems.
• Suggest and implement corrective actions for equipment problems.
• Make minor changes to resolve avionics system issues.
• Coordinate necessary work to correct identified problems.
• Participate in defining and fitting laboratory material test platforms.
• Interact with the material engineering department responsible for flight simulators.
• Manage equipment test inventory and participate in the equipment acquisition process.

Skills and Qualifications:

• College diploma in Avionics Technician.
• 8 years of experience, with or without License AME/FAA.
• Ability to read schematics and other avionics technical documents.
• Knowledge of avionics systems and associated terminology.
• MRO/Assembly experience.
• Proficiency in using electronic test equipment and user diagnostic software.
• Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis during the investigation process.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and associated tools.

Required Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector.
