Position Overview

As a Web Developer specializing in e-commerce, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development and management of our online platform. From coding and design to troubleshooting and optimization, you will play a critical role in ensuring a superior digital shopping experience for our customers.

This role requires an innovative thinker with a deep understanding of e-commerce systems, front-end and back-end development, and the ability to align technical solutions with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

E-Commerce Platform Development

• Design, develop, and maintain a high-performance e-commerce platform using industry-standard tools and technologies.
• Build responsive, user-friendly web interfaces and ensure a seamless user experience across devices.
• Integrate payment gateways, shopping carts, and inventory management systems to support secure and efficient transactions.
• Develop and maintain APIs for third-party integrations, including shipping, marketing, and CRM systems.

Website Management

• Regularly update and maintain the websites content, features, and functionality.
• Optimize website performance by addressing page load speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall efficiency.
• Ensure website security by implementing best practices for data protection, encryption, and secure coding.

Troubleshooting and Support

• Monitor and resolve website issues, including bugs, server errors, and downtime.
• Provide technical support for internal stakeholders and customers, addressing any platform-related concerns.
• Stay proactive in identifying potential issues and implementing preventive measures.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

• Implement SEO best practices to improve the platforms search visibility and ranking.
• Optimize product pages, metadata, and site structure for enhanced discoverability.

Collaboration and Strategy

• Work closely with the marketing and product teams to align website functionality with business objectives.
• Collaborate on design and branding to ensure consistency with the Nebulon Dynamics brand identity.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve user experience and drive online sales.

Data Analytics and Reporting

• Set up and manage analytics tools to monitor website traffic, user behavior, and sales performance.
• Generate reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend strategies for continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in web development languages, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, or BigCommerce.
• Strong understanding of front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails).
• Familiarity with database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and version control tools (Git).
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and plugins for e-commerce functionalities.
• Knowledge of UI/UX principles and tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.

E-Commerce Expertise

• Proven experience developing and managing e-commerce websites.
• Familiarity with inventory management, payment processing, and shipping integrations.
• Understanding of digital marketing tools, including Google Analytics, Google Ads, and social media platforms.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Web Developer, with a focus on e-commerce preferred.
• A track record of successfully launching and managing e-commerce projects.

Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Relevant certifications in web development or e-commerce platforms are a plus.
