Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Robotics & Discrete Automation - General Industries Metal Fabrication market and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by prepar-ing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final doc-umentation. The work model for the role is: #LI - hybrid This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation division in the US. Main stakeholders are {insert main stakeholder groups if available}. You will be mainly accountable for: •Offering technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB products/systems/applications. •Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal technical solution to meet customer needs and address complex inquiries. •Developing and maintaining new sales opportunities and resolving specific customer problems; and ensuring achievement of targets on orders, Net Price Variance (NPV), and Net Promoter Score (NPS). •Ensuring the achievement of budget goals, including volume targets and profitable growth, across all assigned product groups and in the respective countries. Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and 2 - 5 years of related experience; alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments is accepted.
- Robotic welding automation experience highly preferred.
- Robot studio software, 3D Modeling, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Word experience highly pre-ferred.
- Excellent math, verbal, and written communication skills.
