Pay: $20.00 - $23.00+/hour (Depending on Experience)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Duration: Temporary to Possible Hire

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join a dynamic team in Lakeland, FL. This role supports the purchasing department by managing procurement processes, inventory control, and vendor relations. The ideal candidate has prior experience in purchasing, is proficient with MRP systems, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct purchasing activities including placing and tracking orders.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Utilize MRP systems to monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing needs.
• Support procurement processes while ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Provide excellent customer service to vendors and internal teams.
• Use Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word to manage purchasing documentation and communication.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in a purchasing department is required.
• Proficiency with MRP systems.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and inventory management/control.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
