We are looking for TWO experienced and driven project engineers to work within the Mi-Jack RTG Product engineering team!

our_services/material-handling/ Position Overview: In this role as a Lead Project Engineer, you will be responsible for an assigned project from conception to completion. You will ensure the key design deliverables are met for the program. Your focus will be on coordinating deliverables, maintaining the budget, measuring team performance against KPI's and providing weekly updates to the chief engineer and cross functional leadership team. Upholding the company's culture, mission, and values by ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Essential Functions: - Establish the project plan and use it to manage project delivery. Adhere to the Lanco Development Process (LDP).
- Structure and lead the project team; own the project objectives and deliverables and communicate project status. Oversees the specifications and requirements for the project.
- Create and maintain budgets and forecasts requirements with economic justifications linked to project activities.
- Coordinate activities to meet project budget and timing schedule. Develop and maintain project budgets to include labor, material, and outsourcing. Accountable for requesting resources.
- Develop project requirements with chief engineer to align with the platform requirements.
- Oversee requirements definition for functionality and performance improvements in order to plan a course of action consistent with project and product line objectives.
- Effectively communicates with all machine system development groups to ensure project requirements and aid coordination of systems compatibility.
- Collaborate with marketing, engineering, and customers to develop the machine requirements for a project that exceeds customers' expectations.
- Keeps informed of engineering and machinery industry technological developments, and evolving field practices through field contacts, attending meetings and maintaining membership in technical societies.
Additional Responsibilities: - Ensure compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries
- Communicate consistently on all activities to appropriate individuals (both internal and external)
- Maintain ongoing communication and adhere to all Companywide policies to eliminate and/or reduce exposure to liability
- Special projects or work as assigned

What we are looking for: - Self-motivated leader with strong communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively collaborate with the engineering team and external partners.
- Detailed oriented and able to manage multiple development projects under tight deadlines with a focus on safety and quality.
- Knowledge of effective collaboration techniques and ability to build networks with a diverse group of individuals and cultures.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft computer applications. Expert in MS Project or similar system.
- General knowledge of basic machine design and development practices. Industry knowledge in machine operation.
- Skilled in applying technical knowledge to support and enhance engineering practices.
- Ability to set clear objectives and deliverables.
- Ability to influence others.
- Ability to hold others accountable.
Required Education and Experience: - Accredited engineering degree with emphasis in mechanical, industrial, structural, automotive, or electrical disciplines.
- 5+ years of work experience working in an engineering capacity.
- 5+ years of work experience with cross-functional team collaboration.
- Qualified candidates, excluding current Lanco employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Lanco does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status).
Preferred Education and Experience: - Top candidates will have 10+ years of experience in aforementioned engineering discipline with a proven track record of leading projects to completion.
- PMP or CPAM-PMI certification.
Work Environment: - This is primarily a sedentary office classification and employees work in an office with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances
- Minimal travel required- up to 10% domestic and international travel requirements.
- Location: Hazel Crest, IL (Relocation assistance may be available)
- Potential for flexible work available upon successful and satisfactory completion of required training period.
Physical Demands: - The position occasionally bends, stoops, reaches, pushes and pulls drawers to retrieve and file information and lifts and carries reports, records, and other materials that typically weigh less than 30 pounds

The final compensation offer may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, and location.
