Job Posting: Inventory Analyst 3
  • Location: Seguin, TX (Hybrid: 2-3 days in-office per week) 
  • Start Date: January 13, 2025 
  • Schedule: Flexible around core hours of 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM (40 hours/week) 
  • Duration: 12 months 
  • Pay Rate: Up to $40.50/hour 
  • Assets Provided: Company-issued laptop 
  • Travel: Occasional

Job Overview 

A leading manufacturing company is seeking an Inventory Analyst 3 to support operations at its Seguin, TX facility. This role is essential for ensuring timely material availability by coordinating with suppliers, managing production schedules, and addressing supply chain issues. 

The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams and suppliers to improve production efficiency, support engineering changes, and manage inventory levels. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered on time to meet production needs. 
  • Utilize supplier collaboration technologies to manage schedules and resolve issues. 
  • Analyze production plans and adjust material requirements accordingly. 
  • Track supplier performance and address any discrepancies through corrective actions. 
  • Manage the implementation of engineering changes to ensure production efficiency. 
  • Improve material availability at production points through root cause analysis and corrective measures. 
  • Provide expertise in material planning to enhance forecasting accuracy and production planning. 

Typical Day in the Role 

  • Review material schedules and manage supplier coordination. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to address production needs. 
  • Track and report on supplier performance metrics. 
  • Work in a hybrid environment, splitting time between the office and production floor. 

Education & Experience Requirements 

  • Associate’s, Bachelor's, or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, or Industrial Engineering. 
  • 5+ years of related experience in supply chain management, inventory control, or production scheduling. 

Required Technical Skills: 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel). 
  • Experience with MRP systems. 
  • General knowledge of production scheduling and capacity management. 

Desired Skills: 

  • Knowledge of material control, purchasing, inventory control, logistics, or transportation. 
  • Familiarity with MRP, Lognet, and MTS systems. 

Soft Skills: 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
