Job Description

Position Description: Personnel filling these positions will serve as part-time-on-call Linguists supporting transcription, translation, and interpreting activities for a U.S. federal government agency. Linguists may be requested to provide in-person services at multiple locations around the U.S. as well as remotely. Personnel can specialize in one or multiple tasks. Compensation will vary depending on the service provided, i.e. written translation services will be paid by the word and oral interpretation services will be paid by the hour.

Qualifications:

1. U.S. citizen by birth or naturalization

2. 18 years of age or older

3. Capable of traveling with sufficient notice

4. Certified language skills (3/3/3 or above) by an accredited agency such as the Defense Language Institute, International Language Roundtable, Federal Bureau of Investigation, The American Association of Language Specialists, Association Internationale des Interpretes de Conference, or Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts.

5. Highly proficient in English
