Position Overview

Under direction, provides statewide technical assistance to Department administrative, program, policy and facility staff statewide in support of their use of mandated Agency forms. Controls and expedites the design and development of new and revised forms using bar codes, tables, binding functions and the advanced math functions of Adobe LiveCycle and Microsoft software, including Excel.

Essential Functions

  • Serves as a Forms Analyst.
  • Serves as forms liaison for functions of the Integrated Eligibility system (IES).
  • Maintains the indexing and control system for all items within the unit.
  • Secures General Counsel’s approval on all forms before forwarding to the Office of Latino Relations for translation.
  • Creates bar-coded mailing items utilizing the United States Postal Service (USPS) Gateway System.
  • Maintains regular communication with the DHS Print Shop to determine the best format for reproduction.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with coursework in business or public administration.
  • Requires one (1) year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization, OR completion of an agency approved professional management training program.

Specialized Skills

  • Of the one (1) year of responsible administrative experience, requires one (1) year of experience in the development of mandated forms for a state agency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) year of professional experience working with the principles and practices of public and business administration.
  • One (1) year of professional experience working with the principles of governmental accounting and budgeting.
  • One (1) year of professional experience developing and managing a small agency function program.
  • One (1) year of professional experience analyzing administrative problems and adopting an effective course of action.
  • One (1) year of professional experience exercising judgment and discretion in interpreting departmental policies and procedures.
  • One (1) year developing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with other employees.
  • One (1) year of experience in the development of mandated forms for a state agency.

Conditions of Employment

  • Requires basic proficiency in Adobe, Adobe LiveCycle and Microsoft Software including Excel.
