Job Title: Sewer and Drain Technician

Pay Rate: Starting at $30.00 per hour. Pay increases to $35.00 per hour once assigned to a van and working independently. (No benefits)

Location: Primarily works in Detroit, MI

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sewer and Drain Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining sewer and drainage systems for residential, commercial, and industrial properties, primarily in Detroit and the surrounding areas. The ideal candidate has experience in plumbing or drain cleaning, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and diagnose issues with sewer and drainage systems using specialized tools and equipment (e.g., cameras, augers, hydro-jetters).

• Perform cleaning, repair, and maintenance of drains, pipes, and sewer lines.

• Locate and resolve blockages, leaks, and other system failures.

• Maintain detailed records of service calls, including work completed and materials used.

• Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear explanations of issues and recommended solutions.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards during all work processes.

• Keep tools, vehicles, and equipment in good working condition.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in sewer and drain cleaning, plumbing, or a related field.

• Ability to use sewer and drain cleaning tools and technology effectively.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform manual labor.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Must pass a background investigation.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Compensation Details:

• Starting pay is $30.00 per hour during the training period.

• Pay increases to $35.00 per hour once assigned to a company van and working independently.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time position. Hours may vary based on workload and customer needs.
