Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker who either possesses Red Seal certification or has equivalent experience. We specialize in grocery store interior fitouts. The vast majority of our work is renovations and requires our work to be completed on NIGHT SHIFT. Please apply if you have a wide variety of experience building or repairing.
As a Cabinet Maker, it is essential to have the ability to engage in physical activity for extended periods to achieve success. An exceptional Cabinet Maker will go beyond just meeting the requirements of the job by providing suggestions for improvements to our catalog and workflow. Their focus is on facilitating the growth of our company to achieve outstanding results. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to;Independently complete projects from a cutlist to a finished product, without direct supervision.
Operating a cabinet saw and familiarity with other equipment is required, with a preference for those who have commercial experience.
Gathering the elements of each cabinet and assembling the final product.
Applying sealant, varnish, and paint to cabinets, if required.
Inspecting each completed item to ensure that it has been constructed accurately, and that the necessary finishes have been applied.
Repairing elements of cabinets that have been sent in for servicing.
Wearing the requisite uniform and taking necessary precautions to remain safe.
Advising on appropriate care for finished products upon request.
Qualifications:
Must have experience fabricating with plastic laminate finishes.
Experience in fabricating food court kiosks, various types of kiosks, or have worked on projects for Doctors/Dentists offices, daycares or hospitals which utilize plastic laminate finishes.
Red Seal Certification
Prior experience as a Cabinet Maker, with a portfolio of completed works.
The ability to visualize spaces to create appropriate furniture.
Good arithmetic skills.
Excellent teamwork and customer service skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing workmanship.
Physical fitness, including ease of movement and the capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.
Our focus is on interior fitouts for grocery stores, and since cleanliness and sanitation are paramount, 99% of our projects require laminate finishes.
