Job Description

We are seeking an Assistant Construction Project Manager to oversee ground-up construction projects for school buildings across the Southern and Central New Jersey areas. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale educational construction projects, with expertise in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems, budgeting, scheduling, and submitting proposals. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a permanent hire position with projects cycles ranging from 18-24 months.

Job Duties

• Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of ground-up construction projects for school buildings.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Oversee the design, installation, and integration of MEP systems.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and school district requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and school district representatives to ensure project goals are met.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines or budgets.
• Prepare and submit detailed project proposals, including cost estimates and timelines.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and permits.
• Lead project meetings and coordinate communication between all project stakeholders.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
